Autism Friendly Holiday …

” Hope this is off help to other families that have children with learning difficulties and autism and to let other families know how autism friendly Blackpool is

We have just got back from our amazing holiday to Blackpool and want to make other families aware how good our holiday was.

We have a son who has autism and its the first time we have gone away in a long time due to him usually getting to worked up with being away from home in new surroundings , I know other families that have children autism know the feeling.

But we found an amazing caravan at Haven Cala Gran in Fleetwood that is specially set up for children that have children with autism and there families it was amazing. The caravan was called Alan & Jenny’s Caravan Haven Cala Gran. We have never seen a caravan like anywhere else and nether have other parents we have chatted to at my sons sen school. Contains so much to keep my son occupied and felt so relaxing with the sensory lighting my son even slept in his own bedroom which he never does when we stay in different surroundings. We could actually have a family holiday at last.

But things just got better and better. Most of the big attractions in Blackpool offer discount for families that have children with autism and there carers. Especially Blackpool Pleasure Beach not only do they offer discount but they have fast track lines for children with autism so they don’t have to line up in queues for very long which for children with autism is a huge thing., and there staff where amazing. It’s so good to see so many big attractions are helpful towards children with autism. We went for a meal a coral island because my son loves pirates and the food and staff where amazing and couldn’t do enough for us.

These things should be advertised more to let other families know how autism friendly Blackpool is from the attractions to the caravan at Haven Cala Gran as there is nothing like it at any other holiday camping the country.

We will definitely be coming again on holiday to Blackpool we have already booked our next holiday for this year and 3 holidays for next year

Well done Blackpool definitely a autism friendly holiday resort and will be recommending it to other families that have children with autism.
